Founding Test Phase competition terms

1. Who's running it

The promoter is Aromathy, a trading name of the company registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI738147. Contact: [email protected].

2. What you can win

One winner receives a Cricut Joy Xtra starter bundle. Full bundle contents are listed on the Founding Test Phase page. The prize is supplied as described and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.

3. Who can enter

To enter you must be:

• aged 18 or over
• resident in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the Republic of Ireland
• a fragrance-product maker (candles, wax melts, diffusers, soap, room sprays or similar) or someone running such a business

Employees of Aromathy, their immediate family, and anyone professionally involved in running this competition are not eligible.

4. How to enter

Complete the application form at aromathy.com/founding. There's no purchase required and the form is free to submit.

You also need to follow the Aromathy Facebook page and join the Aromathy Makers community group as part of the founding tester programme. You confirm both at the bottom of the application form.

Entries are subject to verification. We reserve the right to confirm Facebook follow and group membership before the draw, and to disqualify any entry that has not met both requirements.

5. One entry per person

One application per email address. Multiple applications under different emails by the same person will be disqualified. We may verify identity if there is reasonable suspicion of abuse.

6. Referral entries

Each approved founding tester receives a personal referral link. Every other maker who applies through your link, and is then approved as a founding tester, adds one weighted entry to your name in the draw. The maximum is ten weighted entries from referrals per person, so your maximum total chance is eleven entries (your own plus ten referrals).

Referral credit is awarded only when the referred application is approved by us, not on signup. This prevents disposable-email farming.

The following will result in the referrer's entries being voided, and may result in disqualification of the referrer's own entry:

• using disposable, temporary, or non-personal email addresses for referred applications
• creating multiple accounts to refer yourself
• paying or otherwise incentivising people to apply who are not genuinely interested in Aromathy
• spamming or otherwise distributing your referral link in ways that breach the host platform's terms

7. When the draw happens

The draw will take place at the close of the Founding Test Phase. We will give at least 14 days' notice of the closing date in the Aromathy Makers community group before the draw is run.

8. How the winner is picked

The winner is chosen at random from the eligible entry pool, weighted by total entries. An entrant with three referral entries has four times the chance of an entrant with none (their own entry plus the three referrals). The draw uses a cryptographically random source and the seed is recorded for audit.

Eligibility for the draw requires: an approved founding tester application, confirmed follow of the Aromathy Facebook page, and confirmed membership of the Aromathy Makers group. A previous winner of this competition cannot win it again.

9. Notifying and claiming the prize

The winner will be notified by email within 48 hours of the draw, sent to the email they applied with. The winner must reply with a delivery address within 14 days.

If the winner cannot be reached, does not reply within 14 days, or is found to have breached these terms, we may redraw and award the prize to another eligible entrant. Prior winners are excluded from any redraw.

10. Delivery

The prize is shipped to a UK, EU or Republic of Ireland address only. Aromathy covers shipping costs. Risk passes on delivery.

11. Using your data

Personal data submitted via the application form is processed in line with our Privacy Policy, and specifically Section 17 of that policy which covers founding test phase data. If you win, we may publish your first name and approximate location (city / country) in the Aromathy Makers community group and on our channels, with your consent.

12. Marketing

By applying you'll receive operational emails about your founding tester application and account. Marketing communications about Aromathy product updates are kept to a minimum and you can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of any such email.

13. Withdrawal of the competition

We may suspend or withdraw the competition if events beyond our reasonable control make it impractical to continue, including a Cricut supply issue, a serious abuse incident, or platform-level changes to Facebook. We will explain any such change in the Aromathy Makers group.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
